Well, Jack got to enjoy his freedom for a few days. Yesterday, he was very sleepy and not taking his bottles very well. By midnight last night, they had decided that he was not maintaining his body temperature well enough either. Suspicious of infection, he was put back in an isolette and his feeding tube was returned. He received a blood transfusion early this morning to perk him up. The doctor believes this may be all he needed. However, the results of blood cultures in 24 hours will tell more.

awww... I sure hope you feel better soon Jack!
Hopefully it's just a little exhaustion.
We are thinking of you today and praying for you too.

This meager human affliction is no match for SuperJack. You needn't worry.

I am so glad to hear that Jack's color and body temp are much better since the transfusion. He just needed a little boost, that's all. We could all benefit from a boost and a good day's rest. I am happy to hear that he had a great day! Blessings to all.
hi Jack
Sorry your little rollercoaster was downward yesterday, but by now I am sure with the transfusion, you are on the way back up. You have been working very hard and its ok to take a step back once in a while.
Its pretty normal for litte people born early to need a little boost once in a while. After all your are still -4 weeks even though you are on the outside 7 weeks-- almost 8weeks. You have come a long way.
All good things are worth working for. So --dont be discouraged
:-) we are all growing and learning.
Sweet dreams,
Love grammie and grandpa
