Now 5 months old, Jack is 11 lbs 9oz and is a perfectly sized 2 month old. We went to the doctor yesterday for his RSV and the rest of his 4 month vaccinations--a total of 3 shots in his chubby little thighs. :-( He was much more aware of the pain this time, which was heartbreaking to watch. If he was older, we would have gone straight to the toy store. Poor guy. However, he recovered well and is a happy guy this morning.

I am so proud of you, Jack! Those shots can be nasty. Five months old! You are getting to be so big. I saw your cousin Grace last night and she told me all about your shopping adventures on Tuesday and how much fun you two had. I am so glad to hear that. Cousins are an awesome thing. Sorry for the torture we adults put you through, but you are now able to fight off 4 more of lifes horrible germs and in the long run you are much safer in this world.
BRAVO for the weight!! I think I am going to take down your first picture that I have hung in my office. I have many more that are so much more flattering and WE know the strides you have made.
You are an inspiration to us all.
I cant wait to give you a big hug and kiss. Only 6 more weeks and uncle Ezra and I will be flying out to see you for your Baptism.
About that- its nothing like the shots so dont worry- just a little Holy Water on your forehead. Its a little initation rite started by St John the Baptist when Jesus was born. We will celebrate Jesus b'day in December. And guess who else shares his b'day?????
You have so much to learn, but you are so smart you will have all these things down pat in no time.
