Happy New Year!

Happy 2008! Jack kicked off the year by trying some cereal this morning. He was mostly confused, but it was a good attempt and we'll try a little more each day. John P says I sound like Elliot talking to E.T.

We went to the doctor yesterday and he got a clean bill of health and weighed in at 13lbs 6oz. His weight gain has steadily been about an ounce a day, which is right on track.

Jack's New Year's Resolutions:
Eat well. Start with cereal (check). Explore purees. Move on to mushes. Graduate to solids.
Increase strength and agility by learning to roll, scoot, crawl, and walk.
Excitedly accept praise from my goofball parents, who will think I am a genius every step of the way.
Find toes.
Grow teeth.
Express my feelings in words...even if my mom & dad are the only ones that will understand them.
Travel. Return to my roots to reconnect with my family in NY. I can't wait! Visit Aunt Nancy & Uncle Kevin up nort' der in Wisconsin--go on a boat ride and stop at the cheese castle on the way home.
Learn to hug.
Learn to dance.
Smash cake in my nose (June 27, 2008)

Happy New Year to the Culver family!!
It sounds like Jack has a great list of New Year's resolutions.
I wish I was as confused about food as he is.
Here's to a GREAT 2008!!
Love to all . . .

Grandma Glynn loves your list for 2008. I tried giving you some cereal this week and enjoyed your willingness to keep allowing me to sneak the spoon in again and again and again. Of course that was just scooping all the cereal that you drooled out and attempting to stuff it back in. We had great fun. Looking forward to seeing your Grammie Linda and Uncle Ezra this coming Friday, as Sunday is your Christening Day, and some of your New York family are coming. YEAH!!!!
