Feed Jack sweet potatoes while making myself egg salad for dinner
Make up songs about sweet potatoes and egg salad to get a grumpy Jack to laugh and eat
Halt egg salad preparation to offer Jack a bottle. He kindly refuses.
Put Jack in exersaucer and finish my gourmet dinner
Play on the floor
Make the sock monkey dance (which is hilarious)
Name the sock monkey Maynard
Shop online for footed pajamas, which are hard to find in size 12 mos. I'm not successful.
Get Jack's legs unstuck from under the coffee table and stop online shopping
Play on the floor
Read a few books to Jack while he practices sitting. He's doing pretty well
Give Jack bath and put his pajamas on
Feed Jack bottle
He's almost asleep--when a slight cough and a little too much phlegm in the throat sends the 6oz splattering all over himself, me and the floor
New clothes all around
Start laundry, wash floor, make new bottle
He kept this bottle, fell asleep and is adorably in his bed.
The rest of our trip to New York was wonderful. It was great to spend time with the Culver clan. Jack was so sad to leave that he screamed for the first hour of the flight home. We were not the most popular people on the plane. Oh yeah--the trip also included a visit to the Dr. to get antibiotics for his first ear infection. Overall, however, it was a success and it was great to spend time with everyone. On the way to the airport, we had lunch at "Jack's" restaurant in Albany. It is where Soren and the Grandparents had dinner the day he was born.

Laura got some great pictures of Grace & Jack yesterday--check out her blog.

To My Dear Precious Daughter, Donna:
Your latest blog "Rockin Saturday Night" is amusing and yet heartfelt. This first year of being a Mommy is,for sure, the biggest adjustment of your life, and may I say, both you and your sister Laura have been making that adjustment most gracefully! Your Dad and I could not be more proud watching this awesome transformation. Every Mom you know, who reads this blog, knows exactly what your 'NEW Rockin Saturday nights' are all about! And although some nights can be trying. . . we would not trade it for the world!
God Bless you all! Kisses and Hugs to you!
Last night I watched a basketball game with college pals, performed in an improv show and then went to see a big band concert 'til 1am ... yet I am jealous of your evening with Jack and Maynard.

Donna,
Glad that you had the opportunity to spend Easter in New York. I'm sure they appreciate your visit.
My, how your life has changed - and for the better. What better way to spend a Saturday night, then with your beautiful baby. Although, I'm sure you could have done without the costume change.
Thanks for letting us play with Jack before your big trip. I'm sorry to hear about Jack's ear infection. Hope he's feeling better.
Take care,
Hey there, Culver family! First of all.. I loved the pictures. The one picture of Jack looking at Great Grandma.. is so precious!
Poor buddy with the ear infection.. no wonder the first hour of the flight was difficult for him. You certainly couldn't give him gum to chew.. or tell him to try and pop his ears. Not fun at all.
Isn't it amazing how your life changes overnight once you have little ones? When you tell people you stayed up to catch SNL.. it means it was a real late night for you.
You're a great Mom! Thank you for sharing the little day to day things with us. It brings back such memories, and I just love it.
Love you guys!
Aunt Corry
