Summer Fun

I was hoping to emerge from the holiday weekend with great pictures of Jack wearing red white and blue, holding an American flag, and eating an ice cream cone while watching fireworks. I didn't get that shot, but we did have a very nice weekend. Jack spent time with his Grandma and Grandpa Glynn and bunches of cousins at Aunt Mary and Uncle Ben's house. We swam, and ate grilled things, and and had an overall good time. He was introduced to hot dogs this weekend and they are his new favorite food.

Here's Jack and I swimming with my lovely (and tan) goddaughter, Mary Claire. As you can see, Jack had on a hat and t-shirt and several coatings of SPF 50. I, on the other hand, cooked my shoulders. He's also confident enough in his manhood to use a pink floatie..

He wasn't overly impressed with the pool, and was mostly just determined to get my sunglasses, but he didn't hate it either.

Here he is playing with his handsome friend in the mirror and Grandma and Grandpa's house

On Sunday, we took Jack to the zoo and for a picnic at the lake. This was a great end to the weekend. Unfortunately, we got to the zoo to find our camera battery was dead...but he slept through most of our stroll anyway.

Here he is this morning, showing off his three, good-for-hot-dog-eating teeth, and just looking cute (and very old). And here's one last video. It's actually more of an audio because of the lighting, but I know some Grandparents out there that can't get enough of this sound...

OK Soren, the whole world wants to know just exactly what you were you doing behind the camera besides saying "Ooops!" Whatever, it was, Jack sure loved it! Keep up the good work! You are an awesome Daddy! Love, love, LOVE the videos! Kisses and Hugs to All, Nana Glynn

Hi Jack
I am laughing and cant help but wonder what they are doing to get such fantastic belly laughs. I do appreciate the wonders of your overwhelming joy. I havent shown g'pa yet because he has company but he will enjoy your new video so very much.
When I visited the zoo in
Chicago with your parents, I had such a wonderful time. Hopefully next spring we can visit it together when you are more up to it.
In less than 8 weeks I can show you one of my favorite places- Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Your mom and I saw a few beautiful sunrises there. And there is a gelato stand that has the most wonderful treats.
Sweet Dreams
