We've had enough nice days to introduce Jack to the outside and it's like a whole new world now that he's a walking talking little person:
He likes to point out letters on signs, and gets most of them correct.
He has seen and waved to his shadow.
He says "Hi" to everyone we pass on the street, and most dogs.
He's getting pretty good at holding hands if it means he doesn't have to be in the stroller.
He watched the amazing garbage man at Nana's house yesterday, and I think he'll have to go there every Friday now to see his new friend.
We didn't get any pictures of his outside adventures yet, but here are a few recent ones of he and his best buddy, Grace.

A little follow up story on "B," the bear: The other night, B had to take his second spin in the washing machine as a result of Jack puke. As he woke up at 5am, sadly searching for B, I thought, I should find a backup B in case the day comes when he doesn't make it out the washer in once piece. I started by examining the tag on B's butt. "Gund - Benson" it said. Easy enough---to the internet! Well, I learned that the Gund company makes these bears "extinct," to make them collector's items (and to make kids cry). I ended up finding him on eBay..for as much as $75! I found one for a reasonable price, and can only assume that some woman with a basement full of Beanie Babies now has my $18. If Jack never needs it, I can always give the gift of an extinct bear to a child in need of a stuffed friend. Long live B.

Oh my gosh.. the pictures are fabulous. Perfect example of male/female relationships. Too funny. Good luck with your sub-B. We had a stand in.. Bessie the Cow... and although the substitute was "acceptable".. she certainly wasn't the same. I think it has to do with the smell.. and here I thought all cows smelled alike. Clever these little people are.. they can tell the difference. Someone told me to wash them both in the same pillowcase.
Hope the new B.. is not needed.. but accepted if he has to take on the role of lead Bear.
Thanks for the update!
Glad you've found a back up - My sister was on a mad hunt one day to replace Brownie the dog for my nephew. He still prefers smelly brownie #1 though.
