Summertime, off to the Lake

We haven't been up to much lately-- just enjoying the "summer" (it was 45 degrees this morning), and patiently waiting for SOMEONE to buy our condo. Soren secured his student teaching position in the southwest suburbs, so we are really hoping to get ourselves moving soon. Not to mention there is a baby girl arriving in the fall that will need a bedroom.

Jackson is non-stop talkative. We talk about names for his baby sister and he'll say, "how 'bout Ernie?," "how 'bout Baby Bop?, "how 'bout Bob?" (as in Bob the Builder). I've tried to get this on video, but as soon as he sees the camera, he just comes after it and says "say cheese!" We'll get one soon.
Here are some pictures of Memorial Day weekend and the past few weeks.
A park at Belmont Harbor. Jackson and I walked along the lake while Nana and Papa were biking along Lakeshore Drive

We got him a bike and helmet. He's a little too small to reach the pedals, but loves to wear the helmet and scoot himself around. The pictures of he and Grace give the illusion that they were playing nicely and helping each other on the bike. The pictures of them screaming at each other for their turn didn't make the cut :-)

Enjoying the Memorial Day buffet with Super Grandma. He LOVES watermelon and can't jam it in his mouth fast enough

Thursday morning, we leave for Long Lake to visit our favorite Aunt Nancy and Uncle Kevin--we can't wait!
