New House & Fun at the Zoo

Well, it happened. The "perfect" house fell into our laps last week. It is conveniently vacant and owned by a relocation company, so they were more than happy for the Oct 16 close date and gave us a very good price. We have the inspection this morning, and it is as official as it will be until we close. We are VERY excited about it!

All is going well with Boo. She is growing and dancing in there, and is penciled in for an October 19th c-section if she doesn't arrive before then. I spent last night with a pile full of Dreft smelling pink blankets and clothes; "nesting" early to organize and get prepared for the move. I will continue with 2 non-stress tests (20 min hooked up to fetal monitor) and 1 dr. appointment per week, with one more ultrasound on 9/30 just to make sure all is well.

With Soren working and Ryan working on their house, Laura and I took the kids to Lincoln Park Zoo on Saturday. Every time we go there, I am disappointed in the lack of animals, but the kids had just as much fun picnicing and throwing leaves (mostly dirt) at each other. Uncle John P joined in the fun too. Ben watched from the sidelines.

It was a sight as we exited the zoo--Laura with Ben in a sling, me 9 mos pregnant, and John pushing the double stroller with Jack and Grace. We looked like a Mormon family...and the explanation "its not what it looks like, we're all siblings" didn't seem to make it any better.

Congratulations on the new house!!!!!!!!!! It looks wonderful. Where is it? (or perhaps you want some privacy online) We can't wait to come visit you and the family!

Oh.. Donna.. your life is so exciting. Your house is AWESOME!!And with the timing of everything.. it should be just perfect!!

The pictures from the zoo are great. I agree with the sibling statement.. we still have laws against that here. There's a picture of John letting leaves fall on Grace.. and in the foreground.. you can see poor Jack. It looks like he's trying to get those itchy leaves out of his shirt. You see where my mind goes??.. itchy leaves in your clothes. Gee, I'm so much fun. It looks as though they loved it, and spending time with their Uncle John!!! That picture of Ben with that Charlie Brown shirt is so cute, too!!

Keep us posted, although I know life is EXTREMELY hectic for all of you for the next few weeks. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

The zoo is the perfect place to spend a beautiful autumn day. It looks like they had fun.
Every day is even more fun when Uncle John is involved. These are memories they will treasure their whole lives. (Either that or it will end up in a therapy session when they're older. I can just see it now, "and then he threw dirt and dead leaves in our faces . . .). Seriously, Uncle John always makes everything more fun.
CONGRATULATIONS on your new house. It seems like our prayers have been answered and everything is falling into place. All you have to do now is keep Boo where she belongs until the 16th or so. Your new home looks like a perfect place to raise your family. How wonderful for all of you!
Congratulations again and thanks for the update.
Love to all . . .
