Jammies

Friday July 13, 2007
Jack gets to wear clothes now! He seems pretty excited to be in more than a diaper and a sock hat. He reached 2 milestones that lead to the ability to be clothed: 1) He is now over 1000 grams and maintaining his temperature well. This allowed them to remove the wire that was stuck to him to monitor his temperature 2) He is now on a "full feed" amount of 20 mLs, which means he doesn't need the IV supplement any longer, which means another tube is gone.
This also means that we can cradle him now instead of just doing the "kangaroo" hold. This was very exciting this morning to hold him in a little bundle. Not to get greedy, but we're hoping the CPAP air tube is the next to go so we can see his whole face again soon!

Love,
Donna, Soren & Jack

Look at him in his little Jammies. Isn't he absolutely adorable! And yes, Aunt Corry is right. . . you look ecstatic. What a happy Mommy. He looks so peaceful cradled in your arms. This is an awesome milestone. Keep up the good work.

I almost titled this episode "jammy jammy time" but didn't know how many others would be able to finish the song.
