HAPPY BIRTHDAYS
Jackson's actual birthday was June 27th. Three! THREE! Unbelievable. We sang about 6 times in the blueberry muffin, and shared the day with Supergrandma at a celebration for her 92nd birthday.Another celebration with June 24th birthday boy, Uncle John P. The cake was fantastic Nana (even though it took a tumble in the trunk on the way over)
and a Happy 1st Birthday to my handsome nephew Benjamin Ryan, on July 3rd.

FOURTH OF JULY
We spent the 4th of July at a birthday celebration for Ben at Laura & Ryan's. We attempted to take the kids to what I'm sure was a lovely parade. But it was H-O-T. We arrived about 20 minutes early, and by the time the obnoxiously loud police cars and fire engines kicked it off, the kids had nearly had enough. Maybe next year.
A patriotic Maddie waiting for the fun to start:
Laura keeping the the kiddos cool with juice boxes
Jackson and Alex, finding comfort in the shade of a store front
SUMMERTIME SUMMERTIME...
Chillin' in the backyard
What do you do with a boy that loves to play with the hose? Put him to work!
YUMMMMM. Rainbow Cone. The perfect ending to a summer weekend.
