The Mall & Maddie's new skills

Happy Birthday to me! We celebrated so far today with breakfast and a trip to the mall. I've mentioned before how fun the mall trips are, and today was typical. I didn't have a purpose or agenda, and I certainly wasn't planning to do anything crazy, like try on clothes. I was just looking to get out with the kids while Soren was at work, and pehaps purchase some birthday spring flair--a purse, jewelry, maybe a pair shoes. Maddie was fairly pleasant, and we had a pretty successful trip that went something like this:

If you were with us in the first store, you may have overheard:
"Jackson, please get off the floor"
"Don't blast people with the umbrella, it's not nice."
"Yes, I know you're a real Jedi"
"Jackson, please get off the floor."
"If Anakin Skywalker doesn't stop touching things, he's going to have to ride in my purse."

We tossed some pennies in the fountain, and Jackson picked out a special birthday treat for me. Mrs. Fields cookies. Yummm.

We then headed to the play area to run off the sugar. After that, an attempt at store number 2:
"Yes, Jack, you're a great dancer."
"Wow there ARE four of you!"
"Yes, you are all great dancers."

I did manage to purchase a few shirts (without trying them on, of course), before we went to the Disney Store (where purchases totaled as much as my shirts), and then headed home.

Tonight, it's out to dinner at a favorite Italian restaurant without the kids. So far, 34 is looking alright

Maddie can now climb up on the kitchen chairs...

and then up on to the table...

She can also take off her pajamas..

We were going through our latest box of clothes from Grace, and I think she wanted to play dress up.
