Jack to kid: "Hi, are you a Star Wars fan?"
Kid: "No, I'm a Cubs fan."
Jack: [silence]
Conversation/potential friendship over. We've discussed with him that not everyone likes Star Wars, and some kids haven't even seen it...and that's okay...and everyone can like different things. He still pre-screens. 
Maddie, running around the park like an indpendent kid [sniff, sniff]
The kids did great with the Easter Bunny! Maddie LOVED him. Jack knows he might bring candy and more Star Wars stuff. Everyone got along famously and posed for an adorable picture.

#1 Dad after a trip to the library. Maddie fell asleep on the way home. Jack got a new book...
Star Wars, of course. He has taken an interest in playing "Angry Birds" on my phone again...so that is something different.
