The group left Albany Medical Center around 9:00 AM local time and landed in Chicago at noon. Jack got an in-flight meal and Donna and Soren had boxed lunches.

Through the courtesy of Atlantic Flight Service, Grandma was allowed to meet him on the ramp and supervise his transfer.

Moving a preemie is quite a project. At one point, I counted eight people involved in getting him off the plane and into the ambulance.
Jack is now staying on the 8th floor NICU at:
Children’s Memorial Hospital
2300 N Lincoln
Chicago IL 60614
They removed the CPAP and put stomach and oxygen tubes in his nose (which sounds uncomfortable but you can see his face much better). He has a few days of antibiotics, but may also lose the IV and get back on regular feedings then.
If those of you who live in or near Chicago want to see Jack live and in person just give Donna’s cell phone a call for directions.
Here are a couple new movies Uncle John P. took:

YEAH!!!!
Jack, I'm glad to see you're finally close to home, it was nice of you to let Mommy and Daddy fly with you. You're lucky to have such a tech-y grandpa that he can keep everyone up to date with the great news.
Tell Mommy I'm going to let you get settled in and meet the family, but I do plan on coming down to say "hi" at some point (hopefully before you turn 16).
It was great to finally meet ol' Jack in person. We're glad to have him here, but he couldn't say enough about the N.Y. Culvers' hospitality.
And by that I mean "kindness". Not "hospital-like".

I am so happy for you, your mom and dad . Everything sounds so much better in
Chicago. I miss you all, but now you are truely The Chicago Culver’s and are getting settled
in your home city. Glad we had the opportunity to spend your first weeks together but there is a time for everything.
Thank your grandpa Glynn for the detailed description and pictures of your journey, and start in Chicago. Thank Grandma Glynn for holding your foot for me to see. Also thank uncle John for the videos I feel very close to you while I watch them.
Now don’t let on I told you, but your uncle John has a stockpile of baby pellets and has ordered toddler size too!!!You are set for life!!!!!
Keep on growing !
Love Grammie
Grandpa sends you a big hug and Kiss
My Sweet Baby Jack, I am so glad you are here. Only your second day in Chicago and you have had many visitors. You have already had your Daddy's good friend John Shaul (you will absolutely love him), your Uncle John P. & Aunt Laura (both yesterday and today), Mommy's friends from college Melissa and Adrienne, Aunt Noreen and of course, Grandpa Glynn and I, (both yesterday and today)! And Jack. . . this is just the tip of the iceberg!!!! There are, yet, so many waiting to meet you. And Jack, as I promised I will pass your love along to Grandma & Grandpa Culver and tell them that you miss them. Good night, Sweet Pea! Pleasant dreams. Kisses and Hugs Grandma Glynn
Oh.. thank you Grandpa Tom.. for the great pictures and commentary. You are.. as always awesome!
Welcome home.. Little J.T. I can't wait to meet you in person.. but we'll let you get settled in first. I'm sure your Mom and Dad are thrilled, and I know Grandma Peggy is, and I'm sure.. Grandpa Tom is as well!!
My heart goes out to Grammie and Grandpa Culver.. as it had to be so hard to let you go.
Donna.. I think you should keep this blog up.. until little Jack gets married. This has been the perfect way to keep up on his adventures.
Love you guys!
