Drooley the Lion

Happy Halloween! Jackson is officially the juciest kid on the planet. I suppose teething hits everyone differently, but this adorable little boy has a constant stream of liquid pouring from his face all the time. Luckily, we had a yellow bib on hand to match the costume.

Laura and I took the babies to Navy Pier this afternoon in costume. We enjoyed the unseasonably warm day, had lunch, and saw a show. It was neat that they were actually entertained and interested in the live action (10 minute) show starring a big fluffy dog teaching them how to trick-or-treat.

I also just got back from a LONG trip away from my guys. I had to go to Las Vegas for work (I know, poor me) and was gone from Saturday through Thursday. It was a busy week that went by pretty quickly, but it was still too long. Soren and Jackson had a great time together, and sent me pictures frequently. I was all excited to get Jack out of bed this morning, and was a little disappointed that he just looked at me and said "ba ba?" I guess I wasn't missed as much as I hoped. He got lots of hugs and kisses today.

He had a good time climbing on the suitcase and helping me unpack this morning. Unfortunately, the suitcase was unzipped and he experienced an unexpected descent right after the picture was taken. Am I a bad mom for anticipating this was going to happen and taking the picture anyway? Maybe this is why I wasn't missed so much? I love you Drooley! I missed you very very much and I'm so glad to be home (and kudos your daddy too--you were very well taken care of)!!!

Hi Jack
I knew your mom would send us a great picture of you today or should I say "Drooley the Lion"
You are adorable, drool and all.
I am sure you missed your mom but you probably had a great time with your dad. Hunger trumps hugs and kisses when you know how much you are loved.
You and Grace look like you enjoyed a day out with your moms,
all dressed up and so cute.
Little decents can be exciting and can provide great pictures usually smiles and laughter for all.
Have a great day
Sweet dreams
Love
Grammie

NEVER.. are you a bad Mom! (at least not until Jack's first book comes out.."Donna Dearest"). Now, if you had enough forethought.. you could have captured it on video.. and won ten thousad dollars for his college fund, on AFV.

I love the pictures.. thank you so much for taking the time to keep up this blog. And.. of course, Soren did a great job in your absence.. I know there was never any doubt. Have you ever seen him with his son?? I'm telling you.. never a worry.

Love you guys!

It's a scientific fact that a lion's prolific saliva glands are the main factor in it's status as King of the Jungle.
